Voice of Truth / Truth Serum

'Teen Sex Parties'--So this is now a hot topic, or should we call it an issue, where parents/guardians are now hosting ‘ Teen SEX Parties” for their children/teens.            
   Recently read an article where it states a growing number of parents are doing this.

What is a “Teen Sex Party”?

Let’s explain; The act of teens having sex at home, (‘sex parties’) with parents/guardian’s permission. In other words,  parents giving their child permission to have sex at home with their full knowledge.

The understanding or “logics” behind this is that:

• v  If they(the child) are going to have sex, then they might as well do it with our (parent) knowledge; Since then

o     We will know where they are

o     What they are doing

o     Who they are doing what with, when

o     And that they are safe (not only safe in the sense of using contraceptives, but also safe in the sense, that they are in the comfort of their home.) 
                         

In other words it provides:

• v  a sense of knowing for these parents (the ‘who, what, when, where’ syndrome)
• v  a sense of security for their child (providing a safe environ and ‘protecting’ the child)
• v  and the parents/guardians feeling the sense of connecting with their child (thus fulfilling or gratifying their parent/teen misunderstanding – (failure to understand : misinterpretation: quarrel, disagreement –merriam-webster.com)

Now while, you can try to understand the logics of these parents/guardians that entertain these ‘sex parties’, we are also left with several thoughts.  One being what our society has become, and what we are creating for our children. Let's explore!!

Let’s examine the role or definition of a parent/guardian/caregiver. 
Now anyone can argue that to specify a specific definition is left to individual parenting style and customs; and while this might differ according to geographical location and other factors like ethnicity, (amongst others) the fact still remain that we are guided by natural parental instinct, (or natural caregiver instinct); so notwithstanding all our differences, (cultures, countries, etc.) our roles as parents/guardians/caregiver are the same. 

This allows us to:

• v  Be responsible for the promoting and supporting of our child/children's: (usually from birth to adulthood)

o   Physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual development.

As stated, these parents might feel it’s their right tand/or obligation to have these ‘sex parties’ for their child, and if not illegal (against the Law) why should you care?

Would this be a part of the parent fulfilling their child’s, physical, emotional, social, intellectual, development?

The fact that this is an issue, where parents/guardians feel like they must conform to giving approval to this behavior, speaks Volume.

• v  Is this Parenting Pressure?
• v  Is this the Standards and /or precedence we want to set for our children? (considering they are our future)
• v  Who is in control- Parent or Child? 
• v  If parents lose control, who does our children look to for guidance?
• v  Children needs guidance, principles and guidelines to live by, thus the reason for an adult presence. Where are the boundaries drawn?
• v  If there were never any issues, before now- Why consent now?  In other words, why the acceptance to this behavior now.
• v  Is the statement made by parents stating: “They are going to be doing it anyway, so might as well at home, where they are safe”; Is this True?
• v  Or do we have such low values of our children, that we believe they are all having sex?
• v  What thoughts, if any have been given about the pressure and repercussion that are and will be incited by tolerating this behavior (Added peer pressure to those who won’t conform)

The main question now is; 

Without getting into any deep philosophy, it is a fact that we are guided by ethics (moral philosophy) and this usually determines our standard of conduct. So,

v  Whose principles, ethics, standard, governs your life? In other words whose principles do you live by?

Let’s see: whether our ethics/principles are based off;

o    Self-principles: Your own Ideology- To live by your own standard. 

o    Other’s principles: To live by another person ideology and standards.

o    Adapted principles- Like the “Five Moral Principles of ACA.” (amongst others)

What is the basis/foundation/origin of these principles/standards?  Are they fallible? Definitely; since they possess a human element, where our only constant, are constant error and constant change, thus our constant need to want and demand more.

 Let me share with you principles/standards that are Infallible –GOD’s Principles (Truth Serum) 

GOD’s principles - ALWAYS Constant, NEVER change, Always FAITHFUL.  His Principles remain the same; yesterday, today and forever.

Truth Serum

It is written:

o    “KNOW THEREFORE THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GOD; HE IS THE FAITHFUL GOD, KEEPING HIS COVENANT OF LOVE TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDS.” (Deut.7:9)

o    “LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL OF YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH. THESE COMMANDMENTS THAT I GIVE YOU TODAY ARE TO BE UPON YOUR HEARTS. IMPRESS THEM UPON YOUR CHILDREN. TALK ABOUT THEM WHEN YOU SIT AT HOME AND WHEN YOU WALK ALONG THE ROAD, WHEN YOU LIE DOWN AND WHEN YOU GET UP”…. (Deut.6:5-7)

o     “SO THAT YOU, YOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN AFTER THEM MAY FEAR THE LORD YOUR GOD AS LONG AS YOU LIVE BY KEEPING ALL HIS DECREES AND COMMANDS THAT I GIVE YOU, AND SO THAT YOU MAY ENJOY LONG LIFE.” (Deut.6:2)

o     “WHAT DOES THE LORD YOUR GOD ASK OF YOU BUT TO FEAR THE LORD YOUR GOD, TO WALK IN ALL HIS WAYS, TO LOVE HIM, TO SERVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND TO OBSERVE THE LORD COMMANDS AND DECREES THAT I AM GIVING YOU TODAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.” (Deut.10:12-14) 

o    “SO BE CAREFUL TO DO WHAT THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS COMMANDED YOU; DO NOT TURN ASIDE TO THE RIGHT OR TO THE LEFT. WALK IN ALL THE WAY THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS COMMANDED YOU, SO THAT YOU MAY LIVE AND PROSPER….” (Deut.5:32-33)

o    “TO THE LORD YOUR GOD BELONG THE HEAVENS, EVEN THE HIGHEST HEAVENS, THE EARTH AND EVERYTHING IN IT.”

o    “PRAISE BE TO YOU, O LORD, WEALTH AND HONOR COME FROM YOU; YOU ARE THE RULER OF ALL THINGS. IN YOUR HANDS ARE STRENGTH AND POWER TO EXALT AND GIVE STRENGTH TO ALL.'

THIS IS HOW WE TEACH,TRAIN, IMPRESS AND BE POSITIVE EXAMPLES FOR OUR CHILDREN

Have we become such a society, where:  

v Our ‘moral fibers’ =(is the capacity to do what is right, no matter what the circumstance -urban dictionary) are so weak, becoming non-existent, that we have become so ‘flippant’= (frivolously disrespectful, shallow, or lacking in seriousness; characterized by levity) about ‘Sex’?

Have we become such a society, where as adults, parents, guardians, caregivers, instead of:
v Teaching and instilling =(to introduce by gradual, persistent efforts; implant -free dictionary.com) values  
      in our children

v Providing instructions, literatures of scruples =(a moral or ethical consideration or standard that acts as a restraining force or inhibits certain actions.)

v Supporting our children’s intellectually by educating them to be strong individuals with quality self-esteem, so that they will not fall prey to peer pressures, and/or other pressures of the society. Where they are forced to think that their ‘popularity’ (‘cool kids’) and getting ‘attention’ stems from their sexuality, which in turn gives rise to their false empowerment and false security of sex.

v Setting and being a positive, exemplary =(serving as a pattern: deserving imitation: commendable –Merriam-Webster) example for our children.
We have conformed to depravity, thus giving into immorality and corruption of our society. Instead of conforming, let's teach some core values to our children.

There is nothing wrong with Embracing GOD, especially in these times.

• So while being responsible for the love, care and wellbeing of our children, and at times are willing to sacrifice anything, some say everything, to fulfill such; be mindful/careful of the cost.

Remember, this is not to condemn anyone; it’s provided for Education and Teaching, since we all need guidance at some point in our life.
